Global Fusion Infrastructure

Shaping international infrastructure to commercialize fusion energy.

A Singular Approach to Transforming the Future of Energy

A global company with local presence in Canada, the UK, and the US.

We have strategically placed global offices that take advantage of regional talent and capabilities. By expanding globally to world-leading fusion research centers in the UK and US, we benefit from decades of fusion science expertise and the existing supply chains necessary to make commercial fusion a reality.

The Fusion Option

Climate Change is a Global Problem that Requires a Global Solution.

Vancouver, British Columbia

Canada

British Columbia is the center of a thriving world-class innovation ecosystem.

Support from the Canadian government has been instrumental in General Fusion’s success and growing presence. We will more than quadruple our workforce over the next few years. Our new expanded headquarters, near Vancouver International Airport, will create more jobs in British Columbia’s high-tech sector.

“General Fusion is growing BC’s world-leading clean energy sector and creating good jobs while supporting our CleanBC goals.”

Bruce Ralston, Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation

Culham, Oxfordshire

United Kingdom

Alongside the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), we will construct a new facility at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy.

This is the location of General Fusion’s demonstration facility. It will benefit from the cluster of fusion supply chain activities in the UK, centered on UKAEA’s globally recognized expertise and presence in the field.

“This new plant by General Fusion is a huge boost for our plans to develop a fusion industry in the UK, and I’m thrilled that Culham will be home to such a cutting-edge and potentially transformative project.”

Amanda Solloway, Science Minister for UK Government

Oak Ridge, Tennessee

United States

We are the first private fusion company to establish an office near the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).

The largest multi-purpose science and energy laboratory in the US and home to the US ITER program. Here, General Fusion will collaborate with world-leading fusion scientists and tap into key engineering talent.

“Commercializing technologies like fusion energy has enormous potential for energy development and economic growth, and I can think of nowhere better suited for General Fusion to pursue this exciting technology than Oak Ridge, Tennessee.”

US Senator Bill Hagerty
