VANCOUVER, Canada (10 February 2021): General Fusion announced today that Mohan Natarajan is joining the executive team as Vice President, Investor Relations. Mr. Natarajan brings vast experience in building strategic partnerships, with a record of more than $1 billion in energy-focussed transactions.
As Vice President, Investor Relations, Mr. Natarajan will lead fundraising to support the development of the company’s Fusion Demonstration Plant, which will showcase General Fusion’s Magnetized Target Fusion technology at a power-plant relevant scale.
“Mohan is an important addition to our leadership team as we continue to grow our business to deliver zero-carbon fusion energy to the world,” said Greg Twinney, Chief Financial Officer. “Partnerships play a key role in our funding strategy. Mohan’s expertise will help General Fusion strengthen connections with new and existing investors as we progress the design and build of the Fusion Demonstration Plant.”
Mr. Natarajan has 25 years of business development experience globally in key markets such as Latin America, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia-Pacific. He was the Managing Director of International Market Development for Bloom Energy, where he developed and implemented a global commercial strategy and negotiated high-level strategic partnership agreements.
Mr. Natarajan holds degrees in Finance, Mathematics, and Physics with a secondary concentration in International Economics from the University of Maryland, USA.
