The Technology of Fusion Energy conference is held every 2 years, and this year arrives in Philadelphia. The conference is aimed at providing a forum to highlight the latest engineering and scientific advances in both inertial and magnetic confinement fusion, and to attract attendees from major fusion energy research centers worldwide to present and discuss their latest concepts/designs and test results.
General Fusion’s VP Technology and Corporate Strategy, Michael Delage, spoke alongside representatives from General Atomics and Westinghouse at this year’s event on a panel themed: “Advancing the Technology of Fusion Energy”. Mr. Delage spoke about the “Scientist Entrepreneur”, and the abstract of his presentation is available here.
Dr. Alex Mossman presented new research on lithium coatings in plasma injectors, describing work done on the General Fusion SPECTOR injector.
