Abstract
General Fusion has constructed four pulsed power systems totaling over 4MJ for plasma experiments. These rapidly advancing experiments on the behavior of compact toroid (CT) plasmas require dynamic and reconfigurable power systems. We give an overview of these systems, focusing on the delivery of up to 2MJ of capacitive energy to each plasma experiment. Highlights include portable field-ready power supplies and a 1MA, >2ms diode-crowbarred inductor pulse shaping system. The in-house design and construction of capacitor assemblies, cables, and inductors is also addressed.
